"The line art for page 9 of Wednesday Comics: The Flash.
What a nightmare of planning this was! I went through several page layouts before coming back to what is, essentially, a simple grid. What you don't see here is that the repeating dialogue of the page is designed to be read diagonally down the page, appearing in a different panel of each strip.
From top to bottom, the homage sources are: Peanuts (obviously), Modesty Blaise, Blondie, and Dick Tracy.

And lots of apes.

First time I saw this page I was completely in love. My favorite page out of Wednesday Comics and that's saying a LOT because I think very highly of WC.
